Consent via DigiD
You can also give permission in advance via DigiD to apply for a passport. If both parents/beneficiaries do this, the child only needs to bring the following:
- Valid or expired identity cards and/or passports
- One good-looking passport photo in color, which meets all passport photo requirements(external link).

Do you not have DigiD or are you unable to give permission online? Then use the form Consent own travel document(external link). At least one parent/guardian must be present during the application as well as the child for whom the passport is intended.
At City Hall, you can also pick up forms that can be filled out manually.
Important text: Travel document must be applied for in person regardless of age.
