Crossing Renseweg/Lochterweg/st Antoniusstraat/Oude Molenweg in De Mortel

Late 2025 City Council embraced an initiative by residents to address the intersection Renseweg/Lochterweg/st Antoniusstraat/Oude Molenweg in De Mortel. This intersection has been perceived as very unsafe for years and the proposal is to improve the sightlines on/over the intersection within the available space and also to create more space around the intersection for pedestrians. The initiative from De Mortel has been further developed into the design below. In the coming period this design will be further developed into a specification and a tender will follow. Because this work requires very drastic traffic measures (detours), careful consideration will be given to which period is most suitable for implementation. As soon as more is known about this, this message will be completed.
