More money for green areas
Gemert-Bakel will make additional investments in the landscape. The municipality is doubling its contribution to the Stimuleringsregeling Landschap Noord-Brabant (StiLa 2.0). This will make more money available for residents and farmers who want to make their land greener.
With this scheme, people can receive subsidies for planting hedges, hedgerows, rows of trees or pools, for example. In this way, the countryside not only becomes more beautiful, but also better for animals and plants.
What makes StiLa 2.0 special is the personal guidance. A field coordinator from the region visits participants at home to help them think about what would best suit their yard or plot. He or she also assists in applying for the subsidy. This practical and accessible approach makes the scheme popular with landowners in Brabant.
In recent years, nearly 800 natural elements have already been created in our municipality with help from the scheme. With the additional investment, the municipality wants to continue to build a green and future-proof landscape together with residents.
