Social participation
The social participation scheme involves compensation for social, educational, sports or cultural activities. The purpose of this scheme is to enable the social participation of individuals and families with an income at minimum level or just above (120% of the applicant's applicable assistance standard). The scheme applies to residents aged 2 to 18 and those aged 65 and over. Residents aged 18 to 65 are eligible if they are not receiving benefits under the Student Finance Act. Thus, the scheme does not apply to students aged 18 and over. In addition to an income limit, an asset limit also applies to this scheme.
Contribution
The contribution per family member from the target group is €150.00 per year.
Did you have a benefit under the Participation Act (assistance benefit) from Senzer on January 1, 2026? Then you will automatically receive the social participation contribution in the first quarter on your account. Do you have no benefit under the Participation Act, but do have a low income? Then you must reapply for this contribution annually.
If you do not have social assistance benefit, but do have a low income, you can request an application form for compensation for social participation at the town hall. You can fill out the Social Participation application form and send it to the municipality.
When you qualify for social participation, you automatically receive an income statement as well.
