Associations are indispensable in our municipality. They bring people together, provide involvement and contribute to a strong social base. That is why we like to support associations.
The municipality has an online reservation system for the rental of Molenbroek Sports Center and De Beek Sports Center.

Every year, all elementary school children receive a Sjors Sportief booklet at school. It lists many sports and exercise programs, as well as creative activities, that are offered in our municipality.

Together with several other municipalities, we’re also working to help residents with disabilities participate in sports or physical activity. We do this under the name Uniek Sporten de Peel.
Within the municipality of Gemert-Bakel it is possible to fish in several places. To fish on these waters you need a VISpas or small VISpas.

We think sports and exercise are important. Together with residents, business, care and welfare, education, KBO, village councils and (sports) associations, we have drawn up the local Exercise and Prevention Agreement.
