Subsidy scheme moving, meeting, playing and sports

Do you have an idea that would encourage residents to be more active or meet up more often?
A new gathering place for residents, an exercise trail through the village, a sports activity for young people, or a playground for children: these are all great ideas that make your village or neighborhood more fun, healthier, and more welcoming. That’s why we help residents get started with these kinds of ideas. We do this by sharing the costs of their project. We call this a “grant.” Read more about the grant here.
Who is the grant for?
All residents of our municipality are eligible to apply for the grant. The grant is particularly beneficial for:
- Schools and school boards
- Sports clubs and sports coaches
- Neighborhood Associations
- Senior Citizens’ Associations
- Health and welfare organizations
- After-school care centers
- Management of Multifunctional Facilities (MFA)
A successful example
The Kleinerf Child Center in De Mortel had previously applied for a grant. The children at the center really wanted a bird’s nest swing. They raised half the amount needed for the swing through a sponsored run in the neighborhood. The rest was made possible by the grant. The swing is located in the village meadow, where the entire community can use it. This is a great example of how children, schools, and the neighborhood can work together to create something that benefits the whole community.
