Raising children isn’t something you do alone
This week is all about parenting: focusing on connecting, finding inspiration, and sharing experiences among parents, caregivers, professionals, and children on parenting topics. In our municipality, we’re reaching out to parents.
Talk about it
Parenting is wonderful, but it can also be difficult at times. Every parent, caregiver, or grandparent has questions, doubts, or challenges from time to time. Yet many parents find it difficult to talk to grandparents, neighbors, friends, or other caregivers about raising their child. About the joys of parenting, the daily challenges, and the questions everyone faces from time to time. What’s it like to be a parent? What are you proud of? What do you sometimes find difficult? And what helps you in your parenting journey?
Share your experiences
By sharing our experiences, we often discover that others are facing the same challenges. Talk about it—it brings a sense of recognition, support, and sometimes even new ideas.
This week, our Youth Team will be taking to the streets with impromptu pop-up discussion groups to start and facilitate this conversation. These moments are all about connecting, finding common ground, and sharing experiences with one another. Because raising children is a team effort.
