Build your own dream home? Request in principle, environmental permit

Are you building one or more homes in the municipality of Gemert-Bakel? If so, it’s important that you notify us of your project in a timely manner. We can submit residential construction projects to the grid operator in advance to secure a connection to the power grid so that you can receive electricity for your new home.

Are you going to build or remodel a home? Then you may need an environmental permit. You can check this and apply for it through the digital Environment Counter. You do not have to submit an application for all (construction) activities simultaneously via this digital desk, but you can.

Do you have a building plan, want to develop land or plan to use a site or building differently? If so, you may need to apply for an environmental permit for certain activities. One option in that case is to request preliminary consultations first. We will then assess the plan and give advice on its completeness, feasibility and the legal procedure to be followed.

The municipality has building lots available in all seven unique village centers of Gemert-Bakel. We issue these lots to residents who want to build their own home.

In our municipality, we have seven unique village centers with beautiful lots and sustainable business parks.

The soil management memorandum sets out the local regulations for moving soil, performing a soil remediation and the municipal soil procedures and conditions for applying for environmental permits (building and environmental) and (deviating from) zoning plans.
