Custom regulation - add a house
Do you want to add a house in the countryside? This is sometimes possible through the customization scheme. There is always a physical consideration needed, for example demolition of buildings or improvement of the landscape.
Custom scheme - adding a house
What is the basis?
The municipality follows the provincial rules. Adding a house is only possible if:
- the house fits in the area and the landscape
- there is a clear improvement in quality in return
- the plan is feasible in terms of money and implementation
What are examples of quid pro quos?
- demolition of old or vacant stables or barns
- restoring or strengthening landscape elements
- The removal of non appropriate structures
How is this related to the transition fund?
Sometimes a plan does not fit well within the customization scheme. In some cases, the transition fund can help, for example with demolition or removal of old buildings. For more information about the transition fund click here.
How does it work?
- You must submit a request or project plan.
- We examine whether the project fits within the custom regulation.
- We assess the contribution to the quality of the environment and whether it is feasible.
- You will receive feedback about the possibilities and conditions.
